Avonite - ADA Sink
By Andy @ 1:41 AM :: 608 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: All, Product Review

ADA requires clearance in all commercial bath vanities.  In many instances, the overflow drain tube interferes, forcing you to push the sink back.

A typical vanity sink setback is about 4".  When the overflow drain is to close to the front edge, the setback gets pushed back to about 5" - 5 1/2".  Although this measurement works, it is back a bit to far to be comfortable.

Another critical issue is the look of the finished counter.  With the overflow in the front, patrons can see the ugly tube assembly.  Avonite solves this problem by locating the drain to the rear of the sink.

When I first saw the sink, I thought the drain would interfere with attaching the valves.  It is actually tucked real tight to the sink without a problem.

On your next commercial vanity project, consider the Avonite 1815 Solid Surface Bowl. Find more information at www.Avonite.com .

Pros: Quality Sink, Large sink will fit into tight commercial vanity, available from a local Avonite Distributor.

Cons:  Some don't like the look of the drain in the back.

Verdict:  Great solution, when there aren't a lot of options.
