The point of the review is to compare the Affinity PURE china bowl to a well known national brand. Kohler sells the Caxton 2210 at most home centers and is the standard sink used in undermount bathroom vanity applications.
I was looking for a sink that had the same dimensions, color and quality of the Caxton. I looked at some different sinks and the PURE seemed to meet those requirements.

Kohler 2210 on the left, Affinity PURE on the right.

Affinity PURE

Kohler Caxton 2210
Both sinks were relatively flat but the PURE was much cleaner. The Caxton did have the enamel finish extend further up onto the flange but was not an issue when mounted.
The PURE also came with a overflow drain ring. Not necessary at all. Both sinks had the same finish around the overflow hole. (PURE on left, Caxton on right)

Affinity PURE - Overflow Ring

Installed Undermount PURE Sink
The Affinity PURE proved to be the better choice.
PROS:
-
Relatively flat sink flange
-
Smooth and shiny enamel finish
-
Perfect size for most standard bathrooms
-
Low cost
CONS:
- Sink template is poorly designed with no center line indicators
- No sink clips included (only a problem if you were expecting to find them included)
- Not locally available
- To save money you need to buy in larger quantities.

NEW: Much improved paper template has replaced the old template The new template is the correct size and includes both center lines for proper allignment.. 8/7/07
VERDICT:
- The Affinity PURE is a great sink. With the $17.00 price tag, great quality and nice smooth finish, this sink is well worth it. There is no difference in appearance and if the template was improved, the PURE would be perfect.
- NEW Sink Template has replaced the old. 8/7/07
