Are You Covered? Installation Insurance
By Andy @ 6:11 PM :: 94 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: All

Are your countertops insured during delivery and installation? Your business auto policy won’t cover countertop damage caused by vehicle collision or theft and your business property coverage may not extend beyond your shop door.

Installation coverage will pay for covered damage to materials and supplies that will become a permanent part of a building in three situations:

  1. While in transit
  2. At an installation site
  3. While in temporary storage

It will also cover installations of others that are in your custody (a standard liability exclusion). It’s not that expensive but be sure to choose a limit of insurance that will be adequate to replace the total material value, including your labor, at any one place.

If you are looking for more information concerning this topic or if you have questions about business property-casualty insurance in general please contact me toll free at  877-213-8875 or e-mail kfrancis@easterninsurance.com
