Vetrazzo, a Richmond-based maker of upscale kitchen countertops and one of the Bay Area’s best-known makers of sustainable products, is considering leaving the state.

President James Sheppard said the company needs a $2 million infusion to stay in business, and that the only offers it has received require it to cut production costs by moving elsewhere.

Looks like they were bought, and are moving from San Francisco to Atlanta. It will be interesting to follow, because the largest 'green market' by far in Califorrnia is the San Francisco area, and if you can't make it there, I don't know if Atlanta will be any better.
