Wouldn't it be nice to find an employee who always comes to work on time... almost never makes mistakes... gets along well with everyone... never asks for a raise... and is well organized?

Your premise is all wrong.
You cannot groom a super employee who does not ask for a raise.
As people grow in skill and knowledge, they must grow in remuneration.
It's a good thing, it is necessary for their self worth and their desire to continue to grow in value.
Pay great employees great money and be happy about it.
Don't be one of those a-holes who pays their employees just enough so that they won't quit. If you do, you'll have employees who work just enough that they don't get fired.
