Caring for Corian® Quartz Leathered Finishes
The 2018 Corian® Quartz color launch saw the introduction of 4 colors with an on-trend leathered finish. As these colors continue to increase in popularity, we wanted to address some lingering questions regarding caring for a leathered quartz finish.
Product Composition & Performance
Micro-scratches on the surface of a leathered finish are what give the product its soft look and feel. Oils and other contaminants may penetrate these micro-scratches; this is why, with leathered finishes, we recommend more frequent cleaning in order to maintain the surface. Because of the black color, Nero Soapstone may show soiling or residual oil from your fingers moreso than the other three leathered colors.
PLEASE NOTE: These surfaces ARE cleanable; they just may require more frequent cleaning. This has been validated by both internal DuPont testing and consumer feedback.
