CINCINNATI –Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity (www.cincinnatihabitat.org) is pleased to announce that Formica Corporation will be a 2011 sponsor. Formica Corporation has generously agreed to provide all surfacing materials for Cincinnati Habitat homes this year, in addition to donating nearly $200,000 in granite surface materials to Cincinnati Habitat’s retail outlet, the ReStore. The ReStore sells new and used donated building supplies, appliances, furniture, and more to the public at reduced prices. All ReStore revenue supports Cincinnati Habitat’s local homebuilding efforts.
Formica Corporation also provided the surfacing materials and made a monetary donation to Cincinnati Habitat’s final build of 2010, while company associates volunteered their time on the Wilson Ave. home in Colerain Township.
“It was a natural fit for Formica Corporation to team up with Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity to provide surfacing materials for all Cincinnati Habitat homes constructed and renovated in 2011,” said Mitch Quint, president of Formica North America. “After learning more about the organization and how well it aligns with our culture, we soon started looking for other ways to support this wonderful cause in our community.”
