Dupont and Caesarstone are revolutionizing the countertop industry with new iPHONE apps.
Both offer a list of colors by hue, but the best feature is a full screen picture of a single color. This feature would allow you to completely eliminate the need to carry a sample box with you on a customer, "In-Home" visit.
Let your customer browse the entire pallet of Corian Solid Surfacing, Zodiaq Quartz, and Caesarstone Quartz..

Caesarstone adds a square footage calculator although I did not feel it would be of much use because of the limited capabilities.
Both applications are incredibly powerful. Full screen images of individual colors looked like an actual sample. The only issue I experienced was with the lighter colors. Whites and light beige were a bit difficult to view.
"Favorites Button", would be a great way for a customer to narrow their selection. In fact Caesarstone offers an email function to email the fabricator information about their selected color. No more miscommunication on which color the customer selected.
Hopefully, other major manufacturers will join the App market with their own color selectors.
