im not bashing the topic im just seeing all the talk about fighting. sorry if i efnded anyone

No problem Roland. I must say that if a countertop guy gets in a ring to fight in front of thousands of people, oh yea, we are going to talk about it.

There are other topics to discuss.

After you login, try hitting the "Not Read" linka nd it will sho you all the topics you have not read since the last visit.

Have a great new year.

Did you just run out of gas at the end. I have tried to screw around boxing before and after a few minutes I was exhausted.

Yes Andy, the combination of a 35lb weight cut to make 185, the rush of fighting at such a big venue in front of about 200 of my family, friends, and fellow fighters, the loud music, thousands of fight fans, and an instant rush of adrenaline that crashed when the fight started caused me to gas way to early. To prepare for the fight I ran 5 miles per day, weight trained, and then worked at the Fight Club for 3 hours per night putting in 12-16 rounds per night, I had my cardio in pretty good shape but nothing can prepare you for your first stadium fight, there's no way to simulate the feeling or rush at that level. Now that I have done it, I think I could do it again without all of the problems.
The whole scene destroyed every ounce of form that I use to fight, I stepped way away from my game and looked like an untrained guy off the street looking for an easy knock-out, not my style and I will prove that in the next one.
Thanks for all your support, it was an experience of a lifetime.
Thanks

is that all there is to talk about? a month of fight chat?

Sorry Roland, I posted this in the Lounge area which is set up for "Other" interests and hobbies of the members, if I posted this on the public or business forum then I would understand your frustration. I would recommend not visiting the Lounge area if you don't want to read about non-countertop issues. We are all countertop guys here, but we also have lives outside of the shop and the timeclock, I find it comforting that I get to find out what some of my colleagues do in their off-time, kind of makes us a little fabnet family.

Roland

It is obvious you have never met Gordon or have any idea that he is an icon in the Solid Surface industry. I have known Gordon for over 25 years and he has a vast knowledge of our industry. Perhaps you may have a question about fabrication, marketing, or a tool? I'm positive if you ask Gordon he will give you an answer or if he doesn't know he will give you a name of a person that does know. Don't judge chat in the Lounge by a topic or how long it is discussed. As for a Month of fight chat that is about all we have to talk about, countertops are not a big topic here in Michigan.

Wow, Thanks Dani! Good to have your support, have a happy newyear.
