Most of you know me as either the EOS guy or the LT-55 guy, some don't realize that I have been a martial artist since my early 20's, I have been training and teaching martial arts for the last few years, I have nearly 80 fights under my belt. I am now 41 years old and am taking on the largest fight to date. Season's Beatings @ The Palace of Auburn Hills, MI, Home of the Detroit Pistons! This is going to be the highlight of my combat career and I just wanted to share the news with my fellow fabnetters, you will see the event poster attached, the event will taker place on December, 18th, at this point I will be fighting for the 185lb Championship belt.
As soon as there is video released of the fight I will post it for you all to enjoy.
    Thanks

Gordon, I hope you never look like the other guy in that poster.

Good luck. Martial arts tournies were a lot of fun after the hard work, but man, some of those bouts get over with quick.

The MMA stuff looks like the bouts are more similar to boxing matches, yes?

    MMA bouts are as follows-
Amateur non title 3-3minute rounds with 1 minute rest between
Amateur Title fights are 5-3 minute rounds, 1 minute rest

Pro fights are 3-5minute rounds non title
Pro title fights are 5-5 minute rounds.

My fight is considered an amateur event but is for the 185lb title- it will be 5-3 minute rounds, I am hoping for a win within 2 rounds.

Some see MMA as very violent but it has yet to have a fatality in nearly 15 years, most fights end within the first or second round, and we do not target the head like boxers do.
Statistically MMA fighters have less emergency room visits than all of the following, Highschool Football, Basketball, and even yoga.

At age 41 and over 80 fights, I have yet to have any injuries worse than broken ribs, nose, fingers, or toes, (knock on wood).

This will probably be my final fight, EOS corporate and my wife feel it is time to hang up the gloves.
    Thanks for everyones well wishes.

In addition to fighting, I support the sport of MMA by running shows under my promotion company Shotgun Entertainment Group, here is on of my recent shows "Uptown Beatdown" we had approx 1500 fans in attendance to watch 15 MMA fights, I work with a production company called Detroit In Focus to capture the action, they are also working with me to shoot the newest GEOS promo videos. This is a short little 3 minute highlight reel of my last show, you will see myself and my lovely wife in the ring about 3/4 of the way thru.
    Thanks

His hands above his head in victory after his MMA win last night, fighter Gordon Shell was lead from the ring by an unidentified beautiful blond inflicting an obviously illegal "ear pinch" move.

Jumping from her front row seat, pushing past securtiy and knocking out a referee in the process, the blond led the shreiking Shell from the ring on his hands and knees while shouting "This is it for you, Buster. No more missing work to train for fights!"

MMA fans and executives were stunned by the viciousness of the attack and complete capitulation of their previously victorious fighter.

Does EOS sponsor you?    The scene in the youtube is a world I have never been to.  I was however in Cabo during spring break,   I took acouple hits to the head myself.......I didn't know my wife could hit that hard.   It is much safer in a world where folks wear lots of insulated clothes,  if you get my meanin .
    Good luck in your match.

I do put EOS on the cage at my shows and both EOS and GEOS names will be on my fight attire during the Palace fight, I do it to support my company, I do not get a paid endorsement, I just work hard to grow the brand, I know who pays my bills :)

Thanks for the good luck wishes.

Gordon, I must have gone to the wrong YouTube. All I saw were cups runneth over, belly buttons, and signs. What in the world did that video do with MMA?

    Did I miss something?

David, if you go south anymore, do you have to wear blinders like I do?  We were in Santo Domingo, when I got a couple of knockout punches... all those french girls thought they could just just lay under all those palm trees completely nude while sipping their umbrella drinks... How disgusting.. and that's my story, and I'm sticking to it

Good luck Gordon....  will your hair be pink?

    Gordon:

I wrote the "obituaries" for Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Bill Cosby for my Newswriting class this semester, so I've got the experience.
