The only thing that stops me from pushing Livingstone more is that they don't sell 1/2 sheets.

The only thing that stops me from buying from them is they WILL NOT sell to me...
They say they have enough fabs in my area...  WHAT....

I guess they copy Dupont in more ways than one...

    Johnny:

Your business calculator is miscalculatin'. A full sheet of Livingstone is cheaper than a half sheet of Corian.

When you have no R & D Costs, no advertising and limited colors that you just copy from those actually doing the research to bring to market, I guess you can be "cheaper". Is this good for the industry long term?

My post made no comparison between Livingstone and Corian.

By not being able to buy half sheets, your purchasing increment will be 30 sq. ft.

Your "purchasing increment" becomes irrelevant when 30 SF costs less than 15.

    Wags:

Corian and LG can talk to me about R&D costs and the long term good of the industry when they stop whoring themselves at the big boxes.

The marketplace has offered the little guy some ammunition and a flak vest. It's name is  Livingstone and I sell it with pride.

I have yet to see a warranty as good as DuPont, at least in practice.

Really?    All I hear the first response is "Find out what the customer did"

Just hold that thought Tom.... There is a really crappy story unfolding with Zodiac at the moment.  It will get posted later...

I'm sorry, KC, I did not mean Zodiaq, but Corian.

We have a Living stone thread in the archives somewhere.

Shipping costs will always be a factor for me.    Shipping incentives , free sinks, promotions...I have to consider all these options.

Actually, not in my experience, KC. I have been on both sides of warranty approvals, and it seemed like Zodiaq had more resistance to approving so so claims.
