Lenny:

As a sole proprietor, what difference does the name under which I do business matter? I can be Joe Corlett, Corlett Construction or Schobotnik Enterprises. (Shobotnik was always used by Mad Magazine for everyman characters, I may appropriate it someday.)

You've proven nothing.

Joe

P.S.:

I encourage you to join servicemagic, however, you will have to get appropriate licensing for the state(s) in which you do business, purchase two million dollars of liability insurance and provide credit references from suppliers, not only testimonials from satisfied customers. They don't let just anybody in. Good luck.
