well, I am now starting my latest inlay... in SS..the paperstone seems to always get inlays, but This customer loves that "Hello Kitty" so im putting it in her small island...I still have to run the cats logo whisker border around the top and fill up with Glass and mirror and some Lumi-crunch..it will be fun...shes gonna do the sprinkling and then when she ok it I'll resinate it up

Then I got my red glass top with crushed mirror which now got requested for the final inlay of get this...I gotta put those nose earring loops in it..its for a cool tattoo parlor ...thats gonna be wild...Im hoping to to basically sell tattoos for countertops..at first I was judgemental as to thinking them punkers aint gonna give me money!!! but the dude from Blink 182 got his tat there and even paris hilton...so maybe I can give theri countertops tattoos.

I also dont own a CNC..so if ya aint got one..ya gotta have a steady hand..this logo is at least wiggly anyway...I'll show ya pics when glassed up

Great work! I can't wait to see the finished inlay! I am also trying to figure out what crazy way you are going to handle the nose rings.

    That's the cat's meow.

    You need a CNC.

Gene no CNC here either. To do artistic work by hand shows real talent. I never under stood why judges would pick CNC work over hand work in design contest, I guess they have never done something by hand themselves to realize how much work it really is. Great job ♫♪♫

There is still a lot of skill required for CNC work.  Take a look at some of the projects done by Sterling.  Those project require programming, design and craftsman skills beyond what most would be capable of doing.

Not to take away from either, I think both are equally skilled.

I agree I have this friend that useta do people faces in material...I am always looking for that customer that wants their family faces protruding outta the cabinet doors...everytime I bring it up..they get scared...I wish Marilyn Manson would walk into my shop...I know I could the themed kitchen would be sold

But I know what Dani is talkin bout...its nice design...but man versus machine in a design contest...its very hard to win...you hafta have a steady hand.
