It always threw me off a bit calling all whoare my Facebook Friends, "Friends". Sure there are lots of you out there I would consider friends but the other half are not. Some of my friends, I don't even know who they are.
Not that these people are nice and really great but would you really consider them friends? It almost dilutes the value of the word friend. I think Facebook needs to have an "Acquaintance" list or "Colleague" list.

You said Yes and my heart popped outta my chest with joy...I was skipping down the isles of the show floor..hahaha

That's it, it is cheesy. Facebook was meant for friends, past and present. It has become a way to network for business as well. Wish they would come up with new terminology. Yea Gene, you would be on the friend half. |

Hey Lee, I suppose you are correct. Just seems like we have devalued the word friend. Welcome to the FabNet. Andy |

Bill,
An aquaintance might be the one to come bail you out of jail, but a friend will be in jail with you saying "Damn wasn't that fun"
or Lenny did you say "Darn fun wasn't it"? Just kiddin... maybe not |

I feel there are several types of facebook friends. I can't categorize them all together as I have my famiily fb friends, my friends in life fb friends and then I have people that network with me to help tell potential clients the good things about my business and then in turn I do the same for them. We sometimes get together in our city and go to functions to promote each others connections. We also just generally share what we know about our great city and the people and events that are current. I also have fb friends that don't live in my city which I learn so much from about the world and other cities and issues they face, current events and the successes they experience. All in all, a very enlightening and uplifting, networking experience at the same time promoting my business, so I get to do it in working hours too = fun to me |
