This is the typical push pull of the organic guys(SEO) verse the PPC (SEM - Search Engine Marketing) guys..

Typically you will find companies pointing at one side or the other as the holy grail..

Both are wrong

It does seem to make sense that any changes Google and Co. would make would be to the benefit of the income side of their business.

absolutely.. in another thread I pointed out sprucing up your google places account.. for localized search, google has taken over the first page results with google places content.. this came on the coat tails of them adding paid options to enhance the google places account with tags and other various features.

Good thread.

There's so much to do once you've already gotten the site up.  A couple of hours a week minimum, plus you should really be paying a consultant who's experienced to advise.

Unfortunately, that's harder than it sounds.
