"6 days on the road" is normal but most of the ride is on a barge , only 1 on the road.
This does lead to a curious question, how long do most of you expect on material delivery? Don't be shy.

David, Sorry to hear about your Hi Macs trials. I haven't had to order any Hi Macs since the change over. Historically our delivery time is next day if I order by 10:00 a.m.

It doesn't take much to make people not want to purchase from a manufacturer. Look what happened to Corian. Thankfully we have a choice so it keeps all the companies competing for our business. We typically get material next day or at most 3 days. |

I admit it, I was spoiled! I think I could take a guess and say 5 days for the Anch (or close to) fabricators. Not bad really considering we are just 1/4 of a mile down on the left....of the moon. |

LG update, I gave a company as a referral to an LG rep last month. The rep was really on the ball meeting with this potential customer. This was a large commercial account, and based on my referral, the company decided to switch from Corian to LG.
I get an email from the company this morning, asking what is going on with LG, if I was having as much trouble as they were. I WAS SHOCKED!
LG has screwed up their first 2 orders. Not only were they very late getting their materials (+8 day), but when they tried to call to find out what was going on all they got was no-one answering. They did receive a call this morning from the regional manager Mike Bricey. Seems LG is trying hard to do what is right with this new company, they are switching from servicing them out of nashville, to another location in Illinois.
I just cannot believe how a company can run so smooth one day then fall on it's face the next.. Nashville branch has hired 5 new girls and with what I heard today with this new customer, things are still going backwards. They still cannot process and fill orders.
Before Hausys took over, if one branch was out of stock on an item, they would ship it from another branch. Now, this is not allowed. If a problem developed, the CSR would handle it, now that is not allowed. The CSR has to email corporate and wait and sometimes wait a long time, for an answer on how to correct the problem.
All the LG reps and managers I have met, are some of the best and most professional in the business. I really feel sorry for them, it really seems these guys and gals have had the rug yanked from under them. They are doing what they have always done, now with the system Hausys has in place, its like Hausys doesn't know what to do with the orders once they get them.
I have not had any problems, other than order processing seems to take longer. I'm still getting good service so far. |

I'm starting to see these same problems. I have a potential customer who called looking for quartz because it's what everyone else is telling her she should have. We started talking about her kitchen and she was explaining what she wanted to have done and SS is a much better product for her application and after I educated her she agreed and was excited for me to come out to her home and discuss this further. I bring along samples from LG, Corian, Staron and others. She looks through every sample and narrows in on LG pebble pearl," This is what I want, it's what I had imagined all along for a color and this is it" she says very excited. Later I called my LG rep and he goes on the say " Oh Yeah, there are some great new colors BUT, we dont have any of those sheets right now". It's gonna take about 4 weeks to get, however for an additional charge we should be able to get it sooner. Like others I've always had very good service but the way things seems to be going it's definetly a deal breaker. It's dissapointing when you've done your best to give the customer what they want, and then to be sidelined stinks. |

We've been waiting on a pallet of Shasta since 6/14.
We were told after a few days that there were no Shasta sheets in the continental US, all on the water as Volcanics are not made here yet.
It may come today. (fingers crossed)
Very frustrating when this is part of our own internal stocking program, but we can't restock and have two kitchens waiting to be fabricated after we've told our customers that we stock the material.

Steve, Nashville branch has them... can be shipped to you in 4 days... whats the problem??? OH.. I forget, they don't ship out of different branches, that was under their past customer service program. My distributor was out of the small bottom grid for a SS sink. She said she has to ask for approval to have one shipped from another warehouse. Are ya kiddin me?? |

I have very few problems with LG distribution in Northern Illinois. The people there are easy to work with and call me immediately if they notice a problem with my order. ( usually it is because I entered something wrong in the portal) The warehouse is efficiently run by Kendrick and I enjoy my trips there. (I can pick up, it is only 30 miles) I am sorry to hear about the problems in other parts of the country.

Sorry to hear you guy's are having trouble with LG over there. I live in Adelaide Australia and LG won't sell me there product, they say that 4 fabricators in Adelaide is enough. I guess that 1,200,000 people can easily be looked after by 4 fabricators. |

I placed an order, and was very specific, it needed to ship thursday, so I would have it today, to work on this weekend. Also The Portal did not have the adhesive listed, would not let me get the Sink into Freedom pricing because I checked the Hot August special tab. ughhh I will spend 10-15 mintues on that DAMN portal per order ... while in the past, I could pick up the phone, give my order to a real person and be off the phone in 2-3 mintues. Now I just love, you place the order on the portal and 2-3 days later, they will call you with a question about the order???
Well, it did not ship until today, so they say, so I will not have until Monday. 2- 1/2 fab days GONE!!!
I would like to know what the label means :orders must be placed by noon"?
What difference does it make?? Good thing I didn't order a couple of weeks ago, they have been out of Lovello sinks for a long time.
I'm finally getting my sink grids after about 8 weeks. Other branches had them in stock, but the Korean business rules dictates, you cannot pull stock from another warehouse.
ughhh |

Hey guys, I recieved a call from the new LG rep yesterday, he's coming to Ak to meet and greet the cutomers. The bad news is I will be in New england when he comes down to Homer. My bro will meet him and show him our shop along with an intro to Spenard Builders supply in Homer where we sometimes sell from. The shipping time of 6-7 days has been consistant as well as completed orders. I did recieve a letter saying my shipping will go way up as will Hawaii and Canada orders. The increased shipping will will hurt a bit but as long as the product arrives on time I'll roll with it. I hope the rest who have had issue with LG are experienceing better service like us here in AK. Come on Sam G. stop in here and say hi. or does company policy dictate a "gag order" on chatting with the common folk? Anyway, so far so good, keep it up! |
