Wags, I did speak with my rep on fri. I lowered my blood pressure for the week end. Tues and Weds I started calling other fab shops around the state. I thought it was just me and where I live. There definetly is a big problem. Going by what the poor sales gal said, I don't see the back log of issues being resolved any time soon, there was no mention of reinforcments being deployed to clean up the mess compounding daily.
Johny C and Andy should be feeling the pain by now, same sales gals.
I haven't had to order any LG since the change over. I was shocked to get a personal letter from our previous CSR, Lisa. She explaining the change and her dismay. She was always very patient and helpfull when I had trouble any trouble. Especially when I was first trying to use the portal. I responded to her letter expressing gratitude and sadness. I think that she and the local distributor have set the bar for customer service very high. We shall see if LG Hausys will step high or stumble on their own laces. The quality of the product combined with the top notch customer service is what has made Hi Macs a prefered product for me. I will remain hopefull for the best. Our new local sales rep has been good at returning my calls and getting answers. Johnny C |

Johnny C. yes , I received the same letter. Im sure we have the same rep. J.M.? I agree, he returns calls promptly. I happen to have become good friends with 2 LG peeps who have taken very good care of me and always returned calls. Their office got nixed, several folks with years in this industry.
I got my sink today, found it on my own and paid to have it shipped down. Like I have time for this?
2 days extra off
thank you LG for that gift
this thread is for you

Amazing, 5 months into "new ownership" and already, undoing what took 11 years to build. So, IF you need to look elsewhere, which Company comes to the forefront? |

Wags, I have always liked dealing with and selling Staron and Avonite. I f Corian would do something about the Ak rep I would persue their product.
Staron had a great thing going with Ak in that they would share shipping cost but with a change in distributors that went away. Now the have a sink program that is inviting and folks like the color choices.
With Avonite my only complaint is that I have to buy it out of BC Canada and the shipping is outrageous!!! We have done a fair amount of studio and glass series, many customers like the wow stuff. they also have a great training class.
I put it all out there and let the customer make the choice.Amazing, 5 months into

and losing valuable distribution employees with all those years experience.
It's the LG people that helped me build their product into my small town area. I bought into the people behind the product, NOT THE PRODUCT. IF I lose product support... while they are increasing their pricing ,now higher than Staron, what incentive do I have to push their product. |

I had presented this issue awhile back. In many cases it is the support and the rep that makes a product what it is. I like the rep, I am more inclined to sell their product. There doesn't seem to be a distinct leader in countertop industry. They are all good products, it's the service, price and availability that matters. |

Well, it's appearing that the product is leading the customer service. Not sure how you can sell anything or do business when you don't answer the phones.
ATT Fellow fabricators: If a sheet of verde qtz shows up at anyones shop.....IT'S MINE. You will be able to tell because it won't have glue with it, that came a week ago. |

Dont you just hate when the glue comes with no sheet. I have an idea...any thing after this is a fecitious post, and joking (sort of). Find your rep, and stick him 2 or 3 storys up on a high rise (using. his glue! ) If his glue is good he should have no problem. Leave 1 hand unstuck and a cell phone with him.I bet he makes a call to 911, even after being unable to use the phone with you. After the fire dept gets him down, Im betting you get your sheet and some new glue. Or maybe an indictment. (Hint, wear a mask!) It could go either way. Just trying to help! |

Lenny, no high rises where I live. On a good note, I received a call today, a sincere explanation of the growing /change over pain. I replied with the same explanation of the pain. I invited this person to attend my whine fest here at the Fabnet. Thank you Steve for your time and listening to me today, unfortunately I have to waste more time tomorrow trying to get through to the CA. office to make an order and find another. the water is wide salmon finding their way home my hooks very sharp |

Wow David, Sucks to be you... I have to waste my time to stop duplicate orders. I order one week... get the material, then get another email saying my order has posted... thing is, it was the same order as last week. I have to laugh about it, the CSR gals are really great people, they are just trying to overcome and deal the new computer system. I'm sure the powers to be would have thought all the CSR's could have learned Korean by now... maybe they will give up and go back to the english version soon. |

David, You can always resort to the glue and stick em scenario. Although Homer may have not high rises, I assume Alaska has tall trees! Ya all got bears too! How about rub some stink bait on em, I hear those bears are good tree climbers. |

How long ago did you order this material? You are fortunate the customer is willing to wait. Around here, everyone wants their countertop in less than a week. |

Andy, Im going on 3 + weeks by mon. Usualy takes no more than 7. The second(replacment) mystery sink is still floating around somewhere or quite possibly never sent.
Wags, I know ALL the Ak fabricators are up in arms and 1 of AK's leading shops has had conversations with the CEO. They know thats for sure. I know they are reading this thread too, I have invited 3 of LG's people to log on and fill us in. All very nice people, just a failing system. If I see a request for Gov bail out Im gonna puke!!!
Just kidding! I am at a stand still with them right now, a vote of no confidence if you will. Iknow that sounds silly from such a small shop such as ours but I sell alot of LG and other SS for a town of 3500 souls. I can't bank on whether the order will be processed or shipped properly. I don't like making excusses to customers. |
