So gentlemen, am I or most of us fabricators in AK experiencing major issues with the new LG change? The portal is one thing but normal business practices is another , just wondering. The frustration up here is unanimous as I sure it's the same in the Pacific Northwest and the states surrounding Calf.
Since LG is an advertiser here maybe the rep could shed some light on how they are going to fix the problems which seem to be compounding . thanks Dave G. |

Hi David, If the rep doesnt post answering the concerns, maybe concerned fabnetters can post a poetic rhyming thread detailing thier concerns. You know how we roll on here! I promise to chime in, and you can count on that warrior poet, Tom M |

David.. I believe it probably is not limited to the west coast... I can see things changing here as well.
What are you running into?? Could it be : Out of stock, no returned phone calls, Portal down, the ability of anyone you used to deal with having their decision making taken away, warranty work denied?
Just wondering? |

late orders, receiving other fabbers materials, others receiving my goods, not returning phone calls, faxes or e-mails. Not being able to get through..at all, failure to get orders off to shipping warehouse, then to learn they are out of stock. Meanwhile being told it's on the way, thats blatant lying in my book. Receiving the glue via UPS for an order that never left the sales person's desk....2 weeks ago.
Then finally get an e-mail saying the sink is on the way, "hooray!!!" "too bad it's the wrong one, not even close". Oh yes and the portal. I learned that 2 girls have been trying to serve...wait for it..........15 states! one of the girls is in training. (I expresses my compassion for their position) I called several of you today to see if the situation is the same in your areas.
nobody was there for me, after I made my apologies to the customers I went for a ride on the MC.
Come on LG, what's going on? you where sure to sic the collector on me when your sales office never generated the final invoice on a previous sale that I haven't yet receive all items on. Help me help you.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems, David. I have had issues with the portal to be sure, but my distributor is an independent and I have few LG stock issues. Now, their particle board supply on the other hand... |

David, When the Koreans came in they changed from a computer system that was tried and true, to one that even a skilled CSR has trouble operating. It is a terribly confusing system. Add to that a new person is in charge of projecting the needs of the country, that has never done this job before. The customer service decision making has been taken away from the customer service reps, they now have to email the Koreans and wait for answers for every problem they encounter. Before the take over,if you had a problem the CSR would take care of it that day, now, they have to email a request and see what they need to do.
Our LG Tennessee location just lost one of the most talented and valuable CSR's. She said when they took her ability to put the customer/fabricator first she could no longer work there. She took many years of valuable knowledge with her.
If their system they enter orders with is anything like the Portal... good grief Charlie Brown.
I ordered on the portal yesterday... guess i spent a minute too long trying to figure out if I had the correct material, when I hit submit, it took me back to the sign-on screen.. all info was lost. I ordered beige sand... I've used it several times in the past... told me I needed Gray adhesive... wait a minute.. when they had Integra it was natural.... Why would I put grey on a beige sheet... I always got "perfect" seams with integra... so why would I trust a different adhesive color?
I sold a Monet Viatera Job last week, only to find out Monet is out of stock until July... humm |

Has everyone called and discussed this with their rep from LG ? If they get an overwhelming amount of complaints then it will draw attention to the problems. There has been changes in upper management in the last 6 months. |

David, We have had many different issues with LG in the past, from post-cure stress (where I first met the infamous Lenny E) to the recent portal problems, Sometimes I got the run-around, especially with the early post-cure problem, but my distributor has always treated me as good as I could expect. They have sympathized, held my hand, and even in the worst times they at least offered a reach-around (just kidding). If you did not have these issues when someone else was distributing your product, methinks you not only know where the problem lies, but at which point. |

Wags, I did speak with my rep on fri. I lowered my blood pressure for the week end. Tues and Weds I started calling other fab shops around the state. I thought it was just me and where I live. There definetly is a big problem. Going by what the poor sales gal said, I don't see the back log of issues being resolved any time soon, there was no mention of reinforcments being deployed to clean up the mess compounding daily.
Johny C and Andy should be feeling the pain by now, same sales gals.

There has been changes in upper management in the last 6 months. Wags, I met some of the management with LG at KBIS. Really great people. I just think the new Korean business plan just caught everyone off guard. Hope noone is needing Shasta... out of stock till July... I'm sure they are working on these issues and will have them corrected soon. |
