Lokking for any information regarding Outline Technologies. We have one of there Digitizers here in our shop and is in need of a new mouse. I have everything that I thought went with the digitizer except the phone #. If anyone has a # or has word what happened to them (web site has been changed) let me know. I really need the replacment mouse. I use it quite often and would like to get the mouse fixed. The mouse isn't your normal run of the mill. It's nothing that they sell at Staples or anything I've seen.

It may not look the same as other mouse's. But perhaps another mouse would still work. .  Have your tried any you have laying around?

Is it a trackball mouse? Kind of looks like a slug?

    Hello Ed,

Unfortunately, I think they are out of business. If I remember correctly, the mouse is not a part that OT makes, but they purchase from someone else. You may still be able to do a search for the mouse itself. I think they are used in the drafting industry.

Does the mouse have a little viewable window that has an X?

Seth and Andy the mouse you have pictured isn't what I have. I believe someone else had it pin pointed that it looks like a slug. I did however have to get an old pin type and install that and I could get the mouse to move on screen. Still the mouse lock up in the upper left corner and to fix ou just bump the old hardwired mouse and again it works. This unit works well for us but is most likely like the dodo bird. It's going to be gone when it's not working. I like it and wish we could updat it some but a replacment may be in the works anyways. I thank you all for you time and help. If for some reason the guy that pinpointed the mouse looks like a slug has one or knows of a replacment location for one please let me know I would like to fix that. Other that the mouse it's working just fine.

A trackball is a device that functions like a mouse, but instead of moving it around on a desktop, you move a ball around in a fixed case with the two  mouse buttons on the sides. They were designed for graphics and drafting, but new CAD software has made it easier to use a standard mouse instead.

Here are some examples, though the one I have/had is more like a slug indeed.

Does anyone have a copy of the software CD that comes with this digitizer that I can have a copy of, or can pay for a copy of?
We have the machine and card, but no software.
