    Don't bother.

Back in May of 2009 I signed up for one year at $100 a month.

    Results:
First week I got one customer.
Since then I have had 19 click to my website.

Not one job sold and at $57 per click, I would not suggest advertising.  They do have the free listing but that really won't amount to much because you won't be listed toward the top of the search results.

    Just canceled.

I posted about them last year.
I do not advertise, but a customer put up a very nice review about us.

Never heard of a customer reading it.

Oh yea, you can buy your way up the food chain. The whole thing is just a big waste of money. If you get a call without paying, that is great, but do not advertise with them.

Perfect example on why you need to use social networking sites.  Take the fight to the streets boys! and gals!

I think all those lead things are a waste of time+ $ In fact when I need a plumber etc  and if it's one of those sites I leaf right over them.

Let's face it, when we need something and we are not familiar, we look to Google.

I still think the social network sites are evil.  I know a private investigator, that screens people for jobs... he said he would never, never, ever  post.  If you are ever sued for any reason ....  be prepared to explain every post you have ever made, and every site you have ever visited...

Norm it's not as funny as it sounds.   FB will have 350 million active uses this year. I bet some of those users live in your town and Johnny's town.  Do you guys know if any of your competition are on on FB? Do you feel that perhaps you might be able to reel a few in with an active FB account?

If you would like call me .There's allot to explain glad to help

You do need to be careful what you say, but not everyone has access to view what you write on Facebook. You have to be friends with someone before they can view the information.

Andy, only if you set up it that way, otherwise everyone can find you.

Hey Jon....do you use Evernote? Not a social networking thing at all, but I just started with it and I can see how it can really revolutionize how you keep up with stuff.

Quick explanation from a complete non-expert....Evernote keeps information for you online, so that it is accessible through your smart phone, pc, etc. With my iPhone, I can type in a quick note, or take a photo, or record my voice, and upload it to Evernote. If I take a photo, it records my location on a map. If there is text in the photo, it becomes searchable. (So, you meet a potential business associate in his or her office. Take a picture of their business card while there, and you have their information plus their location plotted on a map.) You can record information about a potential customer by speaking into your phone, take a pic of their house to map it, etc. etc.

Hard to explain, but it seems to me like a giant step toward a really seamless way to integrate technology into your life or business.

    Wow.
Is that a per month charge?

Tom, I 'm not sure you're talking to me there. If you are, the answer is that regular Evernote is free, and Evernote Premium costs $5 per month (or $45 per year).
