Sounds like you are really close to having something else covered!!!!

Another one??  How many do you have... when I tell someone about that gun totin texan that works in China, borrows money from banks speaking chinese, grows his own turnip greens I would also like to throw out.. by the way.. he has ???  patents.

Don't most patents take years to get...  so after you actually get one, it is something that has been around for a long time??

Hi Kelsey,

Oops, I was trying to rerail the thread. That patent is the orignal one I posted about that was approved (granted) last month.

I only have 10 patents.

As for time length, they take 3-5 years to be granted. The patent office is backed up. However patent protection is from when you apply (providing it eventually gets granted). You may have seen  this as a marking on a product  that says "Patent Pending". So the ones I worked on that were  filed in 2007 and 2008 are going to be a while before they are granted or denied.

That Patent Pending is a great way to protect your product even if you don't believe it is not patentable. At least if holds off people for a bit and give you a bigger market share.
