I certainly have, Tom! But alas, my weightloss has stopped as of the last month. I have recently gained about 10lbs due to eating bad holiday goodies, but that is starting to come back off now.

The only problem with my current body build though, is that I have this spare tire around my gut that is mainly combination of excess skin.. so even though I weight 150, i look 180... :-/. Neither of which are bad weights, but... it's just upsetting. Plastic surgery is in the future plans, unfortunately.

Take care.

Hi Everybody!

Oh Mr. Corlett, Nice to see you're still stirring up great conversation. It keeps everyone coming back.

Regarding a phone number, we take some effort to keep our contact information out of the consumers eye. Domain Industries is quite proud in being for the fabricator. We don't sell to the end user, and take every step of precaution to keep the pricing and contact info protected, so that we can keep our focus on our primary customers... you guys.

We offer several different avenues to find our contact information, including signing up for the website, requesting a free catalog, and our contact information can be found in several trade magazines. We feel as though all of these avenues combined do a great job in getting our name and number out there.

Sorry to hear about your sink clips. Perhaps next time you will give us a shot. I would suggest going to www.freedomaincatalog.com and signing up to receive our regular quarterly catalog. That way you'll always have our number handy.

Take care guys,
-Joseph Winters

Joe:

Good to hear from you. Some say it's all good publicity.

I appreciate your efforts at keeping retail customers from accessing fabricator prices. I've made the same suggestion to your competitiors regarding their catalogs, such as having retail prices in those given or accessed by retail customers. I would love to have a link like that to send potential customers to.

You may feel that "all these avenues combined do a great job in getting your name and number out there"; I disagree. I've given you a first-hand example of how patient a repeat customer will be in seeking information in order to do business with you-not very.

I gave you a shot the first time. You made yourself too inaccessable and are apparently not going to change. One of us is going to have to.

Nice talking to ya,

Joe

No problem Joe. I am a bit confused though, when you click on the advertising located at fabricator network, or visit www.freedomaincatalog.com, the phone number is listed on the front page at the top and bottom. You had said you visited that... is it just too hard to find? Should I make it bigger?

When I went to the catalog page, I saw the phone number right away as well. I could not find it easily on the Domain website though.

Joe, perhaps a rolodex may be of some help or do what I do, post a sheet with all the numbers I call on a regular basis. I can understand and appreciate what Mr Winters point was. I could see a customer falling onto his site, getting pricing and then using that against a fabricator? If you need some 3 X 5 cards to post phone numbers let me know, I'll be happy to supply some for you

When I get into a pissing match, i try to step back ask myself.. if this the hill im ready to die on?

Wags:

No pissing here, just the beauty of the free market capitalist system in action.

This busy fabricator is spoiled by the ease of accessing phone numbers by internet instead of Rolodex. When one of my suppliers doesn't play, I am frustrated.

The supplier can change and/or address my complaint and if I'm not happy I can take my business elsewhere. If enough customers complain, a successful company will change. Perhaps Domain has figured a percentage of unsatisfied customers into their overall marketing strategy and consider the loss of my business as right on track.

It doesn't matter, we will both do what we have to do.

No hard feelings,

Joe

Joe:

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I clicked on "Marketplace" in the top Fabnet banner, then "Sponsors Directory". It takes you to the Domain ad where you say call and ask for a catalog with no phone number. If you click on your name, it takes you to your site with no phone number.

Hope this clears things up,

Joe

Hehe, Joe... I dont know where you get your theory for our marketing strategy, but I can assure you thats not the case.

The domain industries official web site is currently being overhalled, and expected to launch Q2 of 2010. Until then, it directs to Affinity Surfaces, a site primarily for consumers and specifiers...(hence the low key on giving out our phone number). I'll make sure to address the issue of contacting Domain in a more elegant manner when the new Domain Industries website goes up.

Hopefully that clarifies whats going on. Thanks for your concerns. Thanks for your input. And as always, thanks for the business.

Joe:

I finally filled out all the stuff and made it through.

I thought a guy on stoneadvice needed to use your new light kit repair on an estone job so I called and was able to get a link to your video. It was tough, but I got it done for ya.
