Looks like either a bride site or a home site. One commenter said "Corian" in the comments. Let's face it, Jon, the Stone industry, with help from the design industry has done a great job minimizing solid surface. It's an uphill fight, but we will get back where we were and then on to new territories.

    Tom:

You give too much credit to the granite industry. They are as much slaves to fashion as we are.

I just read a post on stoneadvice by a fabricator that granite is out with the "uber rich" and solid colors are in. This bodes well for the solid surface industry.

Countertops are hemlines, wait your turn.

Joe, you are mistaking riding the wave with raising a hemline. They are pushing the scratch and "fake stone look" because that's their hammer. Just as the solid surface industry sold against bacteria and cost in the 90's. Nothing wrong with it, as long as you can back it up.

To not sell against the faults would make you a lousy salesperson.

It still helps drive the point home, and reinforces the downside.

I just looked at this poll again and it is interesting where quartz landed.
