Anyone find any screaming deals on hotel rooms? My wife and I are going to fly out there on Friday evening and the prices for rooms are about 7 times higher on Friday and Saturday compared to Monday and Tuesday.

If you have any friends that are heavy duty gamblers they can probably get you a room comped.

I'm leaning towards the Luxor right now.

There are specials at Mandalay Bay for the show but it's really expensive on Friday & Saturday nights.

Back to the original post form Chad. I think we should all recognize what an Outstanding supporter of our Industry Integra is. They display at all the shows and on top of that they plan a party for us.

How about in a show of support we all each but 2-4 tubes from Integra before the show to help them with the cost they will have.Even if your not going it would be a great way to show your love for Integra.

Andy you can rent an electric cart to drive around. Why not pimp it out with Fab Net supplies and have a moving Fab Net cart

Hi Brian,

LEANING toward the Luxor is the key word. As an old Vegas guy, one hint on the Luxor. The Hotel is a pyramid. So the room windows are inclined and are  much closer to your head than to your feet when standing up and  admiring the view.

After the Inegra party many people have whacked thier heads on the window when getting a closer look at the view. But its a small price to pay for:

1.) Going to the fantastic Integra party
2.) and Staying at the fabulous Luxor

Jon:

I agree with your sentiments, but Integra has a case minimum purchase, I believe.

Didn't you get the memo?

We've done away with the minimums (see pg. 26, Countertops & Architectural Surfaces- Vol 3, Issue 1, 2010)

We used to have a $100 minimum and decided to get rid of it as of January 1.

I booked at the Luxor...I got a tower room though so I don't think there will be any slanted windows.

Jon, if that is so, and they are reading here, than I thank them.

Nice work, DuPont.

Jon, I don't want to come across as being dismissive, but why is this good news in your opinion?

Well anytime a big sheet company pays attention to a show that draws a large fabricating base it's good. It's part of that circle of life (Solid Surface world) for all of us. We all need each other  They see value in the show . Why do you think there going?

We will not be there. We will miss everybody but 300 sheets of drywall were delivered to my house addition back in August. I still have about 200 to go.

I don't believe many corporations do things unless they can make some money at it or do not want to see the competition gain ground on them.

I would imagine they are feeling the heat from LG Surfaces.  LG has done a remarkable job getting their name to the mainstream design community over the past two years.  Corian used to dominate this portion of the market and now that LG will be at the show, I would guess that Dupont does not want to be the odd man out.

I would love to see the surface manufacturers showcase their new colors at the show, but that may just be a pipe dream on my part.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for a great show, I just would hate to see passive participation when the days of old were so exciting.

Good point Andy. Well maybe this will breed a little competition. Nothing wrong with that.

Steve go to the show and invite all Fab netters for a barn raising in the spring
