Does anyone give out potato chip clips with their company name and contact information on them to customers? Mory Ludwick told me about this a year or so ago and I never did it, thinking about it though. It's one of those things folks will use all the time and they will see your name alot. |

Great idea Norm,
As a wise man once said............
If you give a man a chip, he has a fresh chip for less than a day
If you give a man a chip clip, he has fresh chips for life. |

Great promotional idea. We give these to customers? Potential customers? customers to give to friends who need tops? |

Nope, never done that before. Problem with those types of promo items is they are real expensive unless you order in large quantities. Figure the final cost per customer for you marketing and you might find a gift card would be more in line with the chip clip. Mory has many more people to hand it to so the cost will be much less for him. Remember, if you really make your customer feel good, you will have a paid advertiser for life. |

Why not take use of free promotional things? Facebook,Twitter, etc.. The social network is what's happing now. You Tube is the second largest search engine on the net. Make videos of your work post them. This way you can interact with potential customers.
I never read pizza boxes or clips. It's kind of like the yellow pages or TV guide. dead. My boss purchased thousands of pens. I don't think it ever help sell a Kitchen. Now there just sitting in the back corner of the office. |

Jon, men don't buy countertops, women do. I think any advertising related to kitchen stuff would just be overlooked by us men. |

Andy: Mory Ludwick has turned your conventional wisdom on its head. He runs a very sexy radio ad on a sports station with 99% male listeners. He emailed me a copy, but I deleted it. Contact him and post a link here; you'll get half wood just listening to it. Joe |

Mory is a marketing genius anyway. I don't know too many folks who have his ability. ......................................................................................................... Oh yeah, and the layers of brass on his testimonials. I think that's what they're called.... |

Joe
I have heard the ad, but that doesn't make it successful. I am not saying it isn't, but there are many "Successful" ad campaigns that never sell anything. For example, "Got Milk" ad campaign was hailed as on of the most clever, successful ad campaigns ever launched. It was done by the dairy council and after three years, the results actually showed a decline in milk sales. So even though you got half wood listening to it, doesn't mean dick. No pun intended. Now of course if it sells tops, do it, but I would put my money and limited marketing budget advertising to female homeowners. That is just me though. |

I never listen to radio adds or TV ad. When I want something I go to the internet. Andy true about women but my wife doesn't read potato chips. Again its all about the search engine.
We run a radio add here. Personally I Think it's a waste of time. When people show up we ask them how they heard of us. The radio add score is very low. |

Jon, I agree. However, it is not as easy as everyone makes it sound. The art of writing an article is not easy and can sometimes be overwhelming. |
