Who do you buy them from?

I have been buying them from GranQuartz for awhile.  Recently, we've been having issues with the wingnuts that come with them not holding (stripping, backing off after the installation).  They are really cheap pieces of hardware.  Which results in us buying better wing nuts at the hardware store so we don't have issues.  That is getting old, but I have tons of the GranQuartz ones left.

Are there better one out there?

Did you try Integra? They have adhesive and the hardware...I think.

I know what you mean about the cheap wingnuts.

We buy the expoxy from Chemical Concepts.  I guess I need to try their sink clips too.

Brian, Chemical Concepts looks they their kit comes with the seperate stud.  I think I am going to try to avoid that.

Does anyone know of a supplier that ships cold forged wing nuts instead of the stamped ones?  This would solve our issues immediately.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say separate stud.

This is what we're using now when we need them. A lot of the time the installers just use wood strips attached to the cabinets to hold the sink in place.

Brian, we are using the same thing.  The picture on the Chemical Concepts site had the threaded stud as a seperate piece with blue Loctite on it.  It would thread into the waffle base instead of the spot weld like your pic.

I want a kit that includes wing nuts like these:

I'm about to go get a crapload of regular old hex nuts and a deep well socket and call it a day.

The hex nut is what we use for stainless sinks. Makes things a lot easier and cheaper.

We dont use those things anymore. It is quicker and better just to cut a butterly into the stone and then put a bolt in.

    Travis,

How do you keep the bolt straight up and down?

As you can see we just stuck a little knife grade in the hole to hold the bolt in place. It works well. The only thing you need to be carfull of is makin sure your butterfly cut is deep enough. If not the sone will simply break when you tighten your wing nut down
