I wish Steve Bace would comment on this post. I'm not positive, but at the last Festool seminar I attended, he was talking about seamable cuts.

Did you guys see where Dewalt has a knocked off the track and saw design. I am curious to see what price range it will come out in.

I was also hoping for seamable cuts, but do not get them. Where I see the value is the quick set up, stable platform and the fact that you do not scratch the deck when you cut.  3cm materials really lend themselves to this type of saw. IMO

Chris... I saw it somewhere... it was about $525.00   Would rather have a Festool for that price....  now if it was 1/2 that... I would say maybe....  but as woodworker for years, I have not had much luck with either longevity or accuracy of any Dewalt product.

I use both saws and love them..It does depend on the blades though..poly cuts a little different than the acrylics it seems..i use the t-75 more than the 55...Kelsey mentioned the JIGsaw...mine appears to be better than most...i did try putting Bosch blades in it and when cutting off an 1/8 th inch you will get that bevel...but using the festool blades..awesome I can even cut a sink cut out with in laminate and it cuts 90 degreess..thats the only reaon I like the jigsaw and you also can vacuum up with it

but to each is own...I would go to your local dealer and bring some material and ask for a test drive before you buy these tools...we wouldnt buy a car without testing it....im lookina at the new slider saw, checked it out at the regional...preety nice
