That is real cool. What software did you use and how long did it take?
Travis, is that a beer I see in the background? How many beers did it take to get that sign made? |

Andy, yes that is a beer. Funny thing is that the beer distributor brought some beer to my shop and at that time told me he wanted a San Fran sign made of mdf. So this sign was for him.
Paul did the island fill with a 1/2" then clean up with 1/8"
Used 3/8 ball nose for relief with a 90% overlap. 45ipm
Took about 4 hrs to cut the whole thing.
Bad part is I forgot to take a pic of it completed. I will have to go to the guys shop and get a pic. It really turned out nice. |

Travis, Did you use an existing vector file, or was the font available in EnRoute for you to create it? |

Just don't try to sell thier logo's(NFL), without thier permission (good luck with that) One of the most protected "Brands" on the market.

I agree MIke, you dont want to go selling nfl stuff without permission. I just do this kind of stuff for fun in my spare time. Hey if we made it out of scrap we could call it green. Do you think the nfl would dare to take on someone trying to make green products ? That would be bad advertising for them. |

Matt, my machine is standard 3 axis machine. I would assume with the right software any cnc should be able to do it. |

Tom Basically yes. With a 3 axis machine you can only cut 2-1/2 D objects. |
