Lexmar is one that I believe is made in china, im sure there are others but im not aware of them. Not really a major problem with cracking, but we educate the customers pretty, and we don't over sell it. I think that's the biggest problem, especially at the box stores, they say its bullet proof. We all know nothing is bullet proof. Any particular brand Karl ?
Hi Wags,
I had a conversation, last year with Breton at a very high level about purchasing a Breton line and putting it in CHina. They said no way! Apparently they sold some of the earlier Generation lines into China, and the Chinese promptly knocked them off. BTW they didnt do a very good job.
Breton made a corporate decision not to sell any more lines into China.
.
Breton is the best technology, IMO for making Estone, and most breton companies are equivalent IMO when it comes to quality.
However there are a few companies in China that make a great product, but most of the Chinese E stone reeks. My best advice is to Be careful when obtaining E stone from China, look at the samples carefully, do your homework, and put some contractual obligations in place to protect yourself.
Been there done that,
Lenny
