Hello Everyone. Last week we received a new (used) oven. It's the same one as we have now. Just in better working condition. The one we have now has been used daily since we purchased it 8 years ago.  It looks like a simple change over is all that is need to get it up and running.

Jon,
Congrats on the equipment. Did you get the heat platen and the vacuum shrink bed? Is the shrink bed the same width as the one you have now?

You know when we were talking about getting into your line of work with the bending and thermoforming we talked a lot about equipment.  I know from experience that having the right tools to do the job is essential in making jobs you do profitable.

Have you noticed a decrease in efficiency with the old unit not working like it should?

What are you doing with the old one?

Hello Tom, Andy.

Tom you are correct we purchased a new oven and vac table. .  Andy I guess we really wont know a difference until it's up and running. The guys haven't complained much about the oven. Except for the old Blanket and tired pistons. It was just matter of time before the heating elements went. We do so much bending we really cant afford for the oven to stop working. So this purchase worked out well.

We have already sold the old oven to fabricator in MA

Jon,

I looked at that unit about a year and a half ago and it was a good deal then. Being in storage that long I bet you got it at a real good price as well.

Hello Mike. Yes it was a very good deal. When we added up the parts we need to fix up the oven we had it was almost the same cost.

One strange thing happen yesterday when we turned on the new oven. A bunch of water bubbled out of the oven. Not sure how the water got in the oven. But everything seems fine now.

Maybe it is from the humidity of Florida and it got condensation down in there...or not.

Jon,

What Andy said ,or it could have been stored in a leaky warehouse. Some of the storms we get here can let water in no matter what you do.
