About a year ago, I started setting aside all the things that needed repair, just doing without for awhile.  Tools, air lines, tool racks, switches, light bulbs and the like started piling up.  Now after a year of doing nothing, I have about $1000 worth of repairs to make on tools I actually need.  These aren't extras or duplicates.

My suggestion is to fix as you go.  It would spread out the cost and definitely reduce the eventual stress related to this little problem I have.

Andy,

If these are tools you actually need, what have you been doing for the past year while they have been broken? I would question that if you have gone without them for the past year, you might not need them at all!  Just a question.

If you do need them, that's okay, but look at them from a different perspective. If you have been doing without them and spending extra labor to get the job done with tools that are not as efficient, then shame on you!  Fix broken tools you need right away! (You might have saved enough time to make that round table!)

Don't want to derail this thread but I must make a comment about that round table.
Yesterday, I dropped by the shop and noticed 5 guys were cleaning and clearing out the storage area of the shop.  They only do that when they have time between jobs.
Next thing will be fixing the tools.
So.......if they have time to do that, where is my table?  Just asking.

Bill is causing problems again.

I am working on the program to cut on the CNC as we speak.  Maybe I should post a picture to prove that I actually made the thing.

I am going to make Andy sit at the table with the plywood top to eat his Thanksgiving Brunch.
