Several nights ago, my wife said she woke me up because I was snoring too loudly. She said I sat up in bed and said "I parked the truck with the world under the people."

Incredulous, she said "What?" and I repeated it. I laid back down, still asleep.

I have no recollection of this event. My wife does not exaggerate much or make things up completely, traits I try in vain to emulate. However, I thought you all should know this about me and perhaps offer some insightful dream analysis.

Did you repeat the line exactly?

Tom:

Yes, according to Lynn Anne.

She also says the exact quote was "I hooked up the truck to the world under the people."

Analysis please,

Joe

Simple.
Hooking up implies that you want to pull, or control, the direction the world is going. You could not do this on your own, so the truck is your tool to help you. The people aspect is less important, other than the fact that you are aware that your actions give bearing to other people's lives. In short, you are directing things, people are the main part of those things, ergo, they are along for the ride at the same time they are the main beneficiaries of your leadership.

Conclusion? I'm afraid you're pissed off that you were not hired as director of ISSFA.

I'm sorry Joe, but that's the f'ing way it is. My bill will be along shortly.

Yeah. It's all BS, of course, but so's that Edwards 'hearing the dead' guy, and he made a lot of money with hooey.

Tom, no so fast with the dead folks. My wife worked in a nursing home for over 20 years and tells me of some strange things that happen when folks die, and she has been with hundreds of them when they die.

Norm:

Perhaps you're on to something.

Maybe I really meant the dead people buried under the world and I'm hooking up the metaphorical truck to try to ressurect them.

Either that or the people represent  the "dead wood" at ISSFA that have been hauled out by my symbolic truck.

Far be it from me to disagree with "Dr. Tom", but my conscious mind is overjoyed that the ISSFA BOD made Russ Lee the Executive Director of ISSFA.

Perhaps I envision myself as Barak Obama. "Hooked up" representing voting,  the "truck" being the election, the "world" is my socialist new order and the "people" are screwed.

Joe,  maybe just lay off the Nyquil before bedtime?

If I mutter girls names in my sleep she tries to get me to talk more,  usualy wakes me up and I play along, I follow up with  "Lisa is the one for me ,  mumble mumble"

   BOOM!!!  knee in the back

Joe, ya got me beat.

David, funny - I say the same thing, problem is, my wife is not named Lisa. That might explain the wounds.

The Nyquil advice is good, that stuff is 50 proof:

Sometimes Lynn Anne wakes up really mad at me for actions I've taken or things I've said in HER dreams. Hell, it's all I can do to behave myself when I'm awake. I can't be responsible for what I do in her dreams.
