I just read a post where Seth Emery posted a bunch of stuff about autocad. He listed a couple of shortcuts that really heped me out. Lets face it, there are probably only 3 or 4 cad experts on here and most of us are self taught on autocad.

Any chance of having a section just for cad related issues and do you guys think it would be used.

I recently purchases a cnc and the toughest part of the hole think is autocad.

You can find that in the CNC section.  "Anything and everything CNC" related.  Just post your question and Shane, Matt and of course the resident expert on AutoCAD, Seth, can help.

Although the first bit of advice I would give is: don't spend all that money on AutoCAD.

If all you need is a versitile CAD program, try Turbo CAD or one of the other many respectible programs. They are probably not quite "all that", as compared to AC, but they are easier, and I've never ever had a dxf issue with the CNC or toolpath software.

I think I spent $150.00 and about $45 to $90 for each upgrade.

There is also AutoCAD Lt which is much less expensive.  I think you can try it for free by visiting there website.
