None is more impoverished than the one who has no gratitude.  Gratitude is a currency that we can mint for ourselves, and spend without fear of bankruptcy.  ~Fred De Witt Van Amburgh

Among the many things that I have to be grateful for this year, I can add to the list the existence of this virtual community, and the way in which you have received my participation here.

Hope everyone has a great holiday!

Thank you Randy, that was very nice of you. Happy Thanksgiving to all FabNetters throughout the land(s).

Thanks Randy Tom and Andy,

Let me add a fourth to that, Happy Thanksgiving to all, and Im thankful for our troops and wish them a great Thanksgiving. Regardless of various opinions on the war, I appreciate their honorable service, and loyalty to duty and country.

In line with Lennys thinking please consider the following which I'm pasting from an email I'd received earlier this month.

Subject: FW: Great Idea for Christmas

Everyone please help

Great Idea!!!

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to
this address.

If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards
these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

          A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center
          6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
          Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

pass it on

May you all enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving.

Respectfully,
Rich Magee

Correction: Don't send the cards. Policy forbids anonymous cards like this, according to Scopes.

Scopes is not 100% pure on debunking or explaining stuff, but they sourced this. Another example of the best of intentions not panning out in practice.

There are several charities to send stuff to (particularly money). I like the one where you donate and they give laptop computer to severely disabled soldiers, Project Valour-IT.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. To those of you deep frying turkeys this year, don't drink too much.

Thanks Tom,

Geez, it seemed like a great idea. Thanks for checking that out and reccomending another option to accomplish the same good work.

Round 1 turkey dinner complete, waiting to start round 2 later. Geez, In the mean time I have some emails to send out with this new corrected info.
