I only had the priveledge of meeting him once, but John Traynor was one of those unsung heroes of the solid surface world. He saw the potential for Corian before most, and formed a new way of marketting it before anyone else.

His son, Chris Traynor of Whip Smart Consulting, who occasionally reads the forums here, is the guy most responsible for making me see different ways to view the market. A trait I assume he learned from his late father.

There a lot of voices from the solid surface world who will never get the recognition they deserve. I hope that John gets his due someday. He was a pioneer of sorts in an industry thyat saw more than its share in those early years.

R.I.P. John Traynor. My condolences go out to you and your extended family, Chris.

Thanks Tom,

I too never had the priviledge of meeting John, but have stayed in touch with his son Chris, an industry legend in his own right, over the years. I read the write up in SUrface Fabrication, and want to thank you and surface fabrication for posting those kind words.

We also offer our condolences to the Traynor family.
