Anyone going to enter the design contest? I will probably come up with something to enter. I know Gene and Jon will have hundreds of ideas but I am still going to try. Here is the information on it - CLICK HERE |

We have two items to enter. Just got the go ahead yesterday to enter some projects. Don't forget if you have a design to big to bring to the show you can enter a picture of the project as well.
Paul + Paul form Nova Scotia I bet have something to bring especially now they have the CNC running.

Jon,
I'm thinking about an idea for an entry. If it gels I'll have something to enter.

I would like to see someone create a life-sized replica of Abraham Lincoln entirely out of solid surface. |

No takers? Because that would be really cool. |

Chris, I will get right on this. Should be real easy to pull off. |

Oh I have no doubt. You could probably do it while you're having lunch. |

Hey Fabnetters:
The deadline for the design contest is quickly approaching and many of you that said you would be entering this year, have not done so yet. I'm not going to name names, Jon, Paul, Gene, Andy, Mory, Joe, Eli, Kurt, lol, but I would strongly urge you all to go to www.surfacefabricationdesigncontest.com and get your forms filled out and submitted before it's too late. Winners of this contest get a lot of exposure that is definitely good for business (as well as the old ego).
Let me know if you have questions or need anything.
Best,
Kevin |

Hello Kevin. I have some entries to enter. Thanks for the reminder. My only goal is to beat Andy.
What kind of exposure you talking about? I don't look good in a bathing suit.

I'm glad you asked, Jon and Andy, the "exposure" is an article in Surface Fabrication magazine, an article on surfacefabrication.com and surfacefabricationdesigncontest.com and photos or the actual fabricated items will be on display at the expo. As for the deadline, you have to have the forms filled out by Dec. 22, but the photos and other stuff isn't due until Jan. 19. Best, Kevin

Jon, between the injuries he gets at home and the injuries he gets at work, I'd say Andy gets beats all by himself just fine. |
